does anyone else struggle after having time off work, I had a weeks leave last week, today I really struggled. I had some cereal for breakfast but by 11 I could feel my head starting to swirl and I really struggled to concentrate, I work in a customer facing environment so can’t snack or drink st my desk and appointments are back to back, anyway by lunch at 13:00 I felt like my insides where shaking, I had forgotten my meter so don’t know if I was actually low. The same happened after lunch, I left at 17:00, dinner was a small jacket and salad. My concentration has been shocking today, I feel like I can’t properly understand things, Hunger been a problem tonight too just had a whole meal bagel and milk, which had helped shift the headache I’ve had all day. I think when I’m not at work I can pick mid morning and that seems to see me through and I need to get back in my routine... don’t know what the point of what I’m getting at just feel the need to rant a bit...

Hi Becky

Do work know about your diabetes and the fact that you can have hypos? As diabetes is a long term medical condition, it is covered by disability legislation, which means your employer has a duty to make reasonable adjustments which might include breaks to allow you to test and eat if necessary.

When I went back to work after diagnosed, I said I needed to stick to lunch break around 1230 as before I would be running around with a sandwich at 3 pm sometimes. I always have a snack about 10. I agree with raiders
Surely you should get a wee break mid morning. I know sometimes at night it’s hard to make the effort to make meal, but is worth it. ( pot/kettle spring to mind)
Good luck
