Hi all, long time no post.
I have just come back from the doctors. It was a emergency appointment so did not see my regular G.P. My reason for going was I have been passing blood in my urine. I recognised other symptoms of a urinary infection from past experiences but this is the first time I have passed blood. Anyway, I am on yet more antibiotics.
I saw a trainee G.P and he asked if he could do my diabetic review as it was due. I must admit I am a little concerned about some of the results and it has brought back here to you kind hearted decent listening people.
For the first time I have glucose in my urine, I have been diabetic for three years. My hb1ac was slightly higher than it has been before. The most worrying thing was my weight however.
I am 6 foot 5 and pre diabetes my weight was 106 kg. I dieted and got it down below 99 kg. Today I am back up to 113kg.
I know I have been lax recently with my diet and I know I have been drinking more than reccomended. Guess I just needed this wake up call. Sat here a little concerned and also angry. I have been stupid and hopefully my long tern health will not be affected.
Guess im saying that I need to get back on the horse I have clearly fallen off and start again. Three years and back to square one. I know I will get messages of support from you all and I appreciate it but please feel free to tell me off as well, maybe thats what I need.
Thanks for listening(reading).
