Hello all,

Just to let you know, I had the op yesterday. They almost had to convert to the full garage door procedure rather than the keyhole they had planned but thankfully they managed to resolve that issue, it just meant that the op took 2 hours instead of 1. I've got some very spectacular bruises and I feel very sore even with the painkillers but hopefully that should resolve on a day by day basis. The surgeon showed me some lovely pictures of my insides after the op, I've got a cute liver he said (he was only joking). I liked the surgeon, he put me really at my ease and was wise cracking all the time.

Oh and I discovered a benefit of having the D, they did my op first because of it since they dont like to leave us too long without food, mind you, I'm not sure how my fellow folk in for an op felt since it was me that caused all the delays! I was first in and last out though, got there at 7.30 am and let out at 4 pm, think they were just double checking everything because I'd taken so long.

Anyway, thats all for now, I cant believe quite how tired I feel and also how uncomfortable it is sitting at this keyboard.

Glad it all went ok in the end, now rest up and give yourself time to get over it! It sounds like you have been through a lot.

Karen glad to hear from you and that it went well babe, get off here go and rest your bloomin body, chill out xx

Hi Karen,

Welcome home and I'm glad to hear everything went well in the end. Your surgeon sounds fun, and doesn't it make a difference when you get a good one? Take it easy now and give yourself time to heal. XXXXX

Well done you, your very brave. Hope the pain subsides soon.🙂

Glad your home and recovering - yeah being a D does get you on the op table first (did with me last July) - here's to a speedy recover and lots of pain killers xxx

I'm glad you got through the whole thing well, even if it did take longer than expected. relax and enjoy some frree time and you'll be fully recovered in no time

Glad all went well with the op (apart from the length of time it took) and hoping you are feeling less sore day by day.

All good wishes, 🙂

Really pleased that everything went well. Enjoy relaxing during the recovery time🙂
