Does anyone know of any fizzy drinks that don't contain asparteme? I drink quite a lot of diet drinks but they all seem to contain it. I think I might change to flavoured water.

Sorry, it'll be a case of reading the labels I'm afraid. There are a few out there, I know this because I have a friend who's allergic to it.

At the moment I'm filling bottles with home made iced tea mixed with a little Asda Smartprice lemon squash. That's sweetened with saccharine and sucralose.

lots of things seem to contain artificial sweetners, even some of the flavoured waters, so it pays to read label. My brothers wife has terrible problems with most artificial sweetners.

Alot of the M&S ones have sucralose instead, which, as I understand is a natural substance made from sugar, rather than a pure chemical product. I think some of the Sainsburys own brand diet drinks do too, but it is a case of checking the labels.

Tesco's own brand, cloudy no added sugar lemonade looks ok and it tastes lovely.
