Apidra or changing insulin for a pump

Yes as Patti says on Tandem, the DIA (duration of insulin action) is fixed at 5 hours only when you are looping (with Control IQ).
I took what it said to mean that you can't adjust it whilst you are actually looping, but if you turn looping off you can adjust it and then that's what it uses as a time span when you turn looping back on.
 
I think we’ve at least narrowed down the important questions I’d need to ask to being those related to apidra. Can I use it, and does the insulin duration reflect it being shorter than novorapid

Yes exactly that. If not looping you can set DIA to a range of values, but with Control IQ on, it’s fixed at 5hrs
