disposable insulin syringes, including VAT?

No idea, @trophywench , but I can tell you that rhubarb is outrageously expensive in my local greengrocer's at the moment. I chose 4 decent stalks, which when weighed came to over £6!!! Needless to say, they didn't come home with me.

Actually, I just asked DrGoogle who returned the following: https://www.medisave.co.uk/consumab...fusion/needles-syringes/insulin-syringes.html or http://www.millermedicalsupplies.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=insulin+syringes

I have no idea what the NHS pay for them.

Thanks @AndBreathe - been donkeys years since I bought any - a lady with a diabetic dog was asking as she's in Portugal at the mo and they are €4 for 10 at the pharmacies there! (I also had to work out what X units of 40u/ml equated to on a syringe marked for utilising 100u/ml insulin! That stretched me brain cells a bit.)

Well they always used to cost us about £1 a packet and a few years back when on the Combo I bought some and think they were £1.25. I assume she'd have to pay the VAT though - but certainly not the equivalent of €4.
