Hi all

I am having a problem with my meter. It seems to keep on spitting out the strips unused. I have tried changing the batteries, and changing the strip drum, but it just did the same with the new drum, wasting even more strips! I had to switch it off to prevent it wasting strips but then 2 strips jammed and now I can't get the drum out. When it started I was on my way home, with no buses available due to the tube strike, and a long walk ahead, and I was unable to check what my blood sugar was - very frustrating! Luckily I have a spare meter but I would still like to know if anyone has had a similar problem with this meter and what they did. I will find the manual online and maybe call Accuchek too. Or maybe I will get a new one in Boots if they are half price.

Lizzie, we dont have that particular one - but if i were you i would ring acu chek and they will fall over themselves to send you a couple of new ones! They are very good if you have a problem in our experience.🙂Also, ask them for some replacement strips for the ones you lost!🙂Bev
