Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues

The last few days it has been terrible for electrical errors and current pot of strips have been terrible for error not enough sample

This is making we want to call the GP sooner to see if I can change strips
xx

Have you contacted them ?

No - ring the Roche helpline and tell them. They've had batches of duff strips on the market before now and issued recall notices. However, hasn't been as bad in recent years. Eg

Try reset on meter before calling, might work might not.

I've had to turn it off and remove the batteries, wait 20 seconds etc a couple of times since I changed the batteries on Saturday night

I haven't had time to call today and I've just had my meter strips changed to Contour Next strips so I won't bother asking it be replaced but when I get a minute later I'll shoot them a contact form to let them know there may be an issue, it's leading me to wonder if they know there have been issues and that's why its being discontinued though xx

Well I sent an email last night which hasn't been processed yet, I called today but as soon as I said I was changing meters anyway the customer service assistant didnt want to know, always had top notch customer service from them before but because I'm switching meters she seemed to take a huff! Xx

Ah that’s a shame @Kaylz :( Maybe they were having a bad day, or it was the end of a long shift? No excuse for rudeness though.

Hope the Contour Next suits you well. Will you miss the bolus calculator?

Her timezone changed quickly that's for, she answered with a good morning and then a few minutes later it was evening! I called at 3:51pm!

No I haven't used the bolus calculator in well over a year now, I enter the amount of insulin I take but that's about it, I downloaded the Contour app so can still do that and also enter it in the LibreLink and still a log book, you may ask why so much effort but it's easier to flick back a year long paper log book than try and find data from 2 and a half months ago in an app haha xx

Was going to add, I currently have 11 boxes of Aviva strips in so I'll use 8 or 9 myself until they run out and then move onto the Contour Next ones and 2 or 3 will go to my MIL with my "spare" basic Aviva meter to save her a few quid as she self funds for her own meter xx
