Any watches to show my BGL instantly?

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing ok. I hadn't realised how long it has been since I first came on here until visiting this page today and found out that my first (and last!) message was my introduction aa a new member lol. But I have this page saved in my search tabs so I can access it more easily.

Enough waffling, I am using the libre 2+ sensor connected to my S22 Ultra. As I am getting back into exercise and normal activities gradually, I find that I am opening the libre app a lot more often to ensure my level is stable throughout my day. So having something that reduces the likelihood of using the app every half hour saving time, battery and effort.

I have noticed the apple watch is great especially for Dexcom users as it also has the app integrated into the watch's software. Ideally don't wanna be using an apple watch with a samsung (wanna build my samsung collection). But in the worst case scenario I will buy it if there's no good option out there for libre. Garmin ones seem suitable but it's not obvious after seeing different views on YT. Any experiences with the android brands - samsung (ofc), Huawei, Oneplus, Google etc ?

Any help is much appreciated!! 😉

Thanks, Anish.

We have a few members who have managed to get watchfaces on different smart watches (or Garmin) of different OS flavours to display Libre data. Sometimes you need to use extra apps eg Juggluco to bridge the gap.

I think @SimonP and @mashedupmatt (among several others) may be able to give you some pointers?

I have a Samsung Watch 4 (Very cheap) and a Samsung S24 phone - using a combination of Juggluco and GlucoDataHandler Apps (Both available in the play store) I get the readings on my watch with no problems

Check the "Libre Geeks" Facebook page and there are loads of different combos which work

Some of the newer (and much more expensive) Samsung Watches need you to download a program called "Blose" to get the readings I believe but if you want a cheap option the Galaxy Watch 4 does the job (Battery life is awful though) - I only use mine for BG Levels and Umpiring Hockey so don't use any of the other features though so it depends how many features you want on the watch

I have a Garmin Fenix and use a combination of Libre2+ -> Juggluco -> XDrip+ (though you could skip XDrip+, but I prefer the interface on my phone).

Some explanation of how it works in my post here, which links to another of my posts with URLs for the Garmin apps themselves: https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/threads/cycling-computer.117979/#post-1445145

I'm sure I had a summary post somewhere, I'll try to dig it out. Please shout if it doesn't make sense!

I’m no help as I use Apple Watch, but use glucowatch on that

Thank you @everydayupsanddowns for your guidance.

That's really helpful @mashedupmatt as I would've been inclined to the newer galaxy watches. But good to know that even the older gens are capable I will give you a mention when I join that FB group!

I think it all makes somewhat sense @SimonP with all the apps and tools required. I will take note and research more upon reading your posts given more time. I've always seen Garmin as more pricey but sounds worth it.

Cheers to both of you lads

Haha apple watch or not , every little helps @Lucyr Ahh so the glucowatch app allows for Libre. That's helpful to know it's only one app lol. Shame it can't be the same for some android users!
