There are lots of meat eaters who get round the carb problem by being carnivorous. Not big on meat and fish myself so would love to hear from veggies and get some tips please

Hi from another vegetarian!
I eat lots of nuts for protein as well as quorn, cheese, soya milk, nuts, yoghurt, seeds including flax seed, edamames, nuts, occasional eggs, oh, and did I mention nuts? None of which is very high in carbs.

Last night's dinner for example was cottage pie made with quorn, mushrooms, peppers, onion, garlic, tomato in the filling and mashed cauliflower with a dollop of cream cheese mixed in and a sprinkle of grated cheese on top. It was yummy and we ate half and froze the rest for a quick meal when we don't feel like cooking.

Tonight is takeaway night so I'll be having veg bhaji minus potatoes and tarka Dahl. I only eat half of each so the total carb count is not too bad. On Just Eat you can put in special requests so I always ask for no potatoes and less salt in my dishes.
