Any type 1 diabetics in East Suffolk on here?

Newly diagnosed in February , was just wondering if there are any other type 1's in my area ( east Suffolk )for group meetings etc (as my gp recommended)

Most Diabetes UK local groups have far more members with type 2 than type 1, so you might have to look elsewhere for more type 1s. If you attend a hospital clinic, you could ask there and / or ask about putting a poster in waiting room.

Most of the local groups have been paused during the pandemic as far as face-to-face meetings are concerned.

How have the last 4 years treated you?

Hi there, and yeah been very strange because of pandemic etc, and past 4 years have been very up and down, honeymooning pancreas etc. I just can’t find anyone with type 1 diabetes!

Hello, yes any information would be good with regards to other type 1s. I haven’t met anyone yet and I just feel like an alien.
