Good luck at your appointment. Do let us know how you get on.

Thank you Sue, Amigo Rosie and Ljc. I did wonder about a false hypo Sue but I had the same sensation again this morning and my Bgs have been a wonderfully smooth line in the 7's for the past 24 hours. Thanks for the warning Amigo. I went to the GP - blood pressure was 149/80, heart rate was 110,but I think she thought that I was nervous although I did point out that I have supra ventricular tachycardia and that the tablet I'd had for this earlier should have brought the heart rate down. She said two or three times that I'm a mystery but had no other suggestions apart from ordering an ultrasound for the pain but she said that could take several weeks. She said that if the pain gets worse to go back.

Hope the pain settles AJ but keep an eye on your temperature in terms of unusually high or low (doesn't look like she took it?). I'm a bit alarmist about sepsis because I've had it twice and doctors are not as vigilant as they should be.

This is just for info (I'm not suggesting it applies at all).

I'm sure you'll be fine. Hoping so x

Thanks Amigo. I will definitely keep an eye out for my temperature. Sorry I forgot to say that she did take it and it was normal.

Gosh, I'm sorry that yet another problem has reared its head. The doctor wasn't much help at all. See how you go and I hope it settles but if you need advice over the weekend don't hesitate to knock on the appropriate doors.xx

Thank you Karen xxx I will be ok, I'm a weeble!!! So glad that Mark is with me this week xxx

The blood pressure and heart beat could be "white coat syndrome". I know my blood pressure goes higher when at the GPs!! I hope the ultrasound is very quick. Don't hesitate to go back if the pain does get worse or you start to feel unwell.

How odd. I had a bit of an earworm yesterday while I was out cycling and it was the advertising jingle "Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down". I don't think I've heard anything about them since the 60s/70s...so what are the chances that the very next day you should mention them?!

Synchronicity! 😱 🙂

Hope you are feeling better AJ

I like the weeble comments 🙂
Thank you Rosiecarmel and Carolg. Rosie I think you were right about the White coat syndrome.
I'm feeling a bit better today, the pain keeps coming and going but is manageable with the ibuprofen and cocodamol. The hospital said that it will take 4-5 weeks for the ultrasound.
In the meantime I'm going to be really, really strict with pacing myself with lots of rest until I start feeling normal for me again. But I also intend having some fun - today it's afternoon tea but I'm feeling virtuous because im going to have all savoury 🙂

Lol Karen you know that I can't be virtuous for long...after they'd gone to all of the effort to make all of my food savoury I had to wait until the waitress had disappeared into the kitchen before I stole one of Mark's sweet cakes...I don't normally eat sweet things but it was just too tempting :D
