I like non-fiction enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, mystery , dystopian and even comedy. The only genre I don't realy read is romance
Recently I've started to venture out to the world of horror adjacent books (even if ifull horror isnt my jam) and read house of leaves.
My favourite author is pratchett (discworld)

And for reasons I hope I won't have to be the bearer of bad news on, Neil Gaiman isn't realy an option.

Ohh thank you I will definitely enjoy looking through that

My two favourites are Kate Atkinson and Maggie O'Farrell. I read a lot of crime fiction too but assumed that wasn't your thing. Some of Atkinsons books are crime fiction but not all

Oh do like crime fiction, I just can't do true crime because it tends to trigger my anxiety around stuff happening to me, but if I know it's fiction it's fine. Death ar the sign on the rook sounds good but not sure if it's part of a series followimg the detective or if it can be read as a stand alone
Edit: ah I see it's a stand-alone that's great

If you like crime fiction try Elly Griffiths.......the Dr Ruth Gallaway series.....bit of a twist as the charectar is an archeologist

Peter May........Enzo McCloud series

I just read Hotel Avocado by Bob Mortimer, light hearted, what on earth is going on here book but thoroughly enjoyed it

I've read a lot of the Ruth Gallaway ones. I know Norfolk well and the criminal justice system.

Arthur C Clarke's Childhood's End, The City and the Stars, Rendezvous with Rama & 2001 A Space Odyssey are my favourite SciFi novels.
