Antihistamines?

Ok, silly question: I am getting choked with pollution, pollen, etc etc in this heat. My son (not diabetic) says he has antihistamines from Boots. Are these ok, or does anyone recommend anything in particular?

I take generic ( supermarket or pharmacy own brand) Loratadine, which work for me, and are a lot cheaper than branded ones containing the same drug. (There are also ones containing Cetirizine hydrochloride, but I find these make me drowsy.)

I've used Boots own make and had no problems, hope that helps 🙂

I use these too and have done for many years as were originally prescribed for me by ENT surgeon. I buy over the counter at my local Pharmacy for under a fiver.

Over the years, I've tried various pills - but I now find that Asda's own brand work the best. Instead of paying a fortune for branded ones, they are as good as any.

As I leave the house at 7:00 in the morning, to start work at 7:30, I would prefer to take one before I leave (when I'm taking all my other tablets). By mid afternoon, when pollen is probably at its worst, it's starting to wear off. So, I keep a supply in my desk and only take them when I feel that I need to. They work pretty quickly.

I bought some Boots ones yesterday, containing Loratadine as @Robin said, and hope they work (second pill today 🙂) cos the weather forecast promised high pollen today...
