As most of you will already know I bashed my little toe on a door frame. The poor toe stuck out sideways. Went back to hospital this week and they were going to put my whole foot in a plaster cast. However they changed their minds and have strapped toe up again and put me on crutches for 4 weeks. The doc said it was a very severe fracture and they will probably have to have it pinned and plated. I'll keep you informed.

Ouch! It sounds so painful for such a little part of the body 😱 :( I'm glad to hear you are getting it examined regularly and treated appropriately - hope it heals well 🙂 I bet you are VERY careful around door frames now, but so easily done, I bet we've all stubbed our toe like that one time or another :(

Ouch! Let's hope there's no need for pinning and plating, are they waiting to see if it manages to sort itself out?

Aw, poor you, Spiritfree. Still not fixed. :( Hope the strapping and crutches fix the problem. 🙂

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I do hope it sorts itself out without recourse to surgery.

Oh that sounds so painful. Hope it heals by itself now with no need for surgery.

Hope the toe heals soon. It is good you are getting it checked on a regular basis.

Poor you Spirit. I hope it sorts itself out without surgery. (((hugs)))

I so hope that you prove the consultant wrong and don't need it pinned and plated.
