Spoke to my lovely GP this morning who was not best pleased regarding the mess up and said his colleague should have sent a prescription through straight away. (Colleague a GP in training) Had full apology prescription sorted and he has asked me to write into the surgery for his attention outlining the problems and lack of endocrinology apt and he will enclose it with his letter regarding the urgent apt that is 8 months overdue. Also going to ask haematologists advice regarding my blood test results.

So a very good outcome as far as I am concerned.
 
Got any before and after pics you can put up @Anitram - have to say sometimes longer hair on a chap not in the full flush of youth in the face department - makes em look older I'm afraid.
 
I think you can get away with it that length on top, maybe just get the back and sides tidied?
