Hello everyone (waves),
I'm very recently formally diagnosed type 2 though most likely I've been carrying it for years - really strong family history and eating dangerously. Attended a midlife health check knowing this was coming and to be honest it's a relief; I have a lot of work to do as readings v high, so after this weekend I shall be getting to grips with blood sugar readings and metformin in increasing doses over the next 4 weeks.
Stuff I've discovered that I didn't know before about myself :
- I *love* cauliflower rice, cauliflower hash browns and kale - never tried any of them before
- I *can* walk past the local pic n mix shop without insisting on going in
So I'm ready for this journey. Bit worried the pic n mix shop will go out of business without me though.
