Good to hear you sounding more positive Sam, despite your fears 🙂 Hope you have a good day tomorrow, with fewer 'urges'.

Backing up

Hi

A friend told me to set up a yahoo account it is free and e mail everything to that account - keep a back up in the clouds so to speak and accessable from any where. I just use memory sticks but the idea is there

Have a good time. look after you self

Another idea is to backup to phone memory card if you have one. Bluetooth it or usb backup. But I like the memory stick idea.

Could maybe see the lost data as a first draft and go the new improved version ?

As for cbt or other belief/schema methods. It works but you really need someone from outside your own head to challenge your beliefs since you can easily argue your way out of the challenge. Someone who is able to dismantle your own distorted thinking (eg. the negative beliefs that prevent you from proactive actions or the fear of the unknown future which you have no control over) and challenge you to change your perspective.

I hope the ultrasound gives you peace of mind. I had an x-ray on my knee last year despite knowing my problem was a strained ligament but they have to rule out certain things before they can be sure of the simpler stuff because their toolkit is limited. Assume it's something simple and don't try to second guess what the future holds. Do all in your power to influence it to your own good and let all the things outside of your control happen, then deal with it as it does.

Live life.🙂

Rob

ultrasound booked for friday 2nd september, 1.50pm at southampton general - I have no idea where that is! I guess the busses must run there.

The lady goes to me, "make sure you have a full bladder!" 😱 we had a bit of a giggle about me having to hold it in.

I'm glad its pretty soon, it means less time for me to worry.

Glad it's up and coming Sam, hope all is sorted quickly 🙂 Southampton General is where I was diagnosed! I spent 8 lovely days there 😉 There are lots of buses that go there from town:

Hope they are able to get to the bottom of it Sam, glad to hear you're not having to wait ages for your appointment x

thanks guys - I hope they get to the bottom of it because I am fed up of it now, absolutely fed up of feeling so rubbish. Work are already naffed off with me having to go to the loo so often and spending so long in there but what can they do? I have a doctors note covering me. Good.

I just want an answer now. I want to feel better.

Northey, I think there's a bus goes up the General from dock gate 3 about 5-6 minutes walk from my flat. I'll have to have a look when I pass the bus stop tomorrow. I'm leaving work next friday at 12 so I can pop home, have some lunch and fill myself up with liquid :/ so if it does go from there at least I won't have too far to walk.

Hi Sam, I am just catching up after a few days away. Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time, glad you will get some answers soon.

Hi Sam

Sorry that you are having such a difficult time. I really hope that they find some answers for you very soon which mean that the problems can be easily treated. Please, please, please do not give up on your dreams. I've had a lot go wrong over the last 20 years, having a serious car crash in which they had to pull me out through the roof of the car has been the least of my problems:D but it is holding onto your dreams that gets you through.....that's how I got my degree and PhD and why I'm now studying English Literature whilst doing a job that I love. Hang on in there, although there will be times when you are really scared keeping a focus on your goals and dreams will help you get through the dark days, I know this from personal experience. It's not always easy but you will get there. Big hugs
