Bear in mind that these are not a detailed analysis of her life with diabetes and the ins and outs of her control - they are the twisted imaginings of the tabloid press! 😱

I totally agree, it was reported in The People after all. I actually think she is by far the best singer in the competition - for what it's worth!

Well I still don't know who she is, but I certainly know that the headline 'Type 1 Diabetic Leads Normal Life' is not likely to sell more papers ....... very often some quite interesting/important news story gets completely warped by these idiots.

A few months ago, they would have hacked her mobile to get some juicy gossip but now they have to rely solely on their imaginations. It must be hard for the average hack.🙂

What a stupid child not to elaborate on the other dangers. What makes her think that she has it any more chronic than the rest of us? And no I am not a fan of any of those shows lol She either needs more insulin or she needs to stop cramming c**p in her mouth to bring those blood sugars down 🙂

100% agreed. It's a bit worrying Lady Willpower that you read these tabloid articles and then respond with calling her a stupid child for not doing this that or the other. You do realise she probably said a few short things when asked certain questions and all these newspaper companies have put their own spin on it to make it look as sensationalist as possible. 🙄

Well she is in the bottom two, so I hope her sob story ploy didn't work and the public see sense and kick her out.

Since when does it become a sob story to talk about diabetes and the damage which happen with uncontrolled diabetes:confused:

To be fair I had been wondering a few times after hearing she was a T1 if she would ever get a hypo on stage during one of her performances and what they would do then 😛

She could have one a great job advocating but I guess the tabloids wouldn't be interested in that anyway, they just want the juicy sensational stories...

I've read the sensationalist article but am wondering, what exactly are the chances of going blind? Is it only a possibility if blood sugar levels are consistently high for a sustained period of time? I've only been diabetic (type 1) for a few months so am still uncertain about certain aspects, but still I could tell this article was over dramatic and sensationalist.
