Interested to hear views on these devices to add to the Freesytle Libre sensor to create a CGM - especially early alarm warnings (and flexibility to have on vibrate/ or audio) of impending lows/ highs to can be proactive at preventing them and so increase time in range.

And how it might Ambrosia Blucon Nightrider compare with the Miao Miao 2?

The ambrosia is from the USA and with a CE mark ( but not FDA and approved ) plus some customer service (in English ) and from what I see a comparable price am wondering why I don’t hear so much about it? It seems to operate on iphone /androids?

Any catches compared to Miao Miao 2?

Any good comparison summaries welcome please.

Any other systems that are worth looking at eg Bubble?

Many thanks

We have a few members who use Miao Miao, Bubble and other options. Hopefully they will be along to share their experiences.

I’ve never used either, but I didn’t take to Blucon’s prelaunch marketing style which was on the aggressive side,

Additionally with Libre2 rolling out across the UK from this month (and available in the Abbott store for self funders), it may no longer be necessary to use a 3rd party add-on, as Libre 2 will prompt you to scan if your BG reaches certain limits high or low.

There is some discussion of Libre2, MiaoMiao, Bubble xDrip and other options on this thread

I have Miaomiao 2. In hindsight, I wish i’d bought Miaomiao 1 as the battery life is not great, it has never lasted as long as a Libre sensor and, after a year, now only last 3 days.
However, I still feel I got great value for money out of it.

I will not be replacing it. I plan to use Libre 2 with the patched LibreLink app that will link to xDrip+ as a CGM.

THANK YOU .... it has helped my son get some better info ..... he now says he's thinking of getting Libre 2 +X DRIP .... unless he sees anything better or can get the Medtronic CGM funded by the NHS ( already has the 640g pump) .. which would be an even better solution ....
