Am i working out my carbs right?

I asked about carb counting and was told it is taught at my local hospital but is only offered to those on insulin. Glad to see the DN was wrong again! :D

She wasn't wrong in this case. "Carb Counting" is a highly technical term relating to insulin users ( amount of carb per unit of insulin ).
Dmers not on insulin are encouraged to think in terms of "Carb Awareness" - thinking of a carb prtion as 15 grams of carb and having about 15 of them a day.
As Katie said earlier in this thread people ( mainly T2s) are using the terms Carb Counting and Carb Awareness indiscriminately.
