Hi MickD

I had atorvastatin and ok till it was increased then felt rough. Got simvastatin and then had prickly heat and a rotten time with side effects that I can only describe as feeling toxic so pills went back to pharmacy. Now prescribed rosuvastatin which I tolerate well.
Good luck with your meds
Carol

Thanks for your reply Carol.. 2nd day of not taking it and I'm starting to feel better... headache has gone, hip not aching as much, but still feeling a little nausea... hopefully that will get better in the next couple of days when its all out of my system..
I'll wait till 6th and discuss options with my DN.
Thanks,
Mick.

OK well had an appointment with the DN... and she was really pleased with my progress so far... lost another 13kg too ( only weigh myself at the docs appointment ) so I'm well happy. She was happy for me to hold off on the statins as the cholesterol results were good, even talked about coming off or reducing the Sukkarto.. I asked if I could stay on the full dose until my next appointment ( March ) so we'll see how it goes.
The doctor had put a note on my file saying she was happy to now discuss the hip replacement, so I've got an appt on 17th to discuss this, hopefully be pain free soon.
Mick.

All good news! Well done, @MickD - sounds like you’ve been working really hard.😛:D😛

Looking good!
