Are you able to eat oat or oatbran, I know some folks here can. Pearl barley also contains beta glucan.

heartuk.org.uk says that "3g of beta-glucan each day, as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle, lowers blood cholesterol"
This page suggests ways to include 3g in your diet - you can check which of those options are lowest carb https://www.heartuk.org.uk/healthy-living/cholesterol-lowering-foods#oats

I didn't use 3g myself - I used 1.5g beta glucan as part of my solution.
As an example 20g of White's oatbran (sold at holland and barret) is 10.5g carbs - thats 1.5g beta glucan

I mention Whites because most supermarkets sell mornflake, I found Whites was nicer

Oatbran is unfortunately like nitroglycerine for my blood glucose. I have the very occasional Oatibix with fruit
