Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi guys,

I just to wanted to say hi to everyone <waves>. I was diagnosed with type 2 in 2011 and controlled it fairly well with diet and exercise (with the help and advice from this amazing forum). Fast forward a few years and I went a little crazy, completely fell off the wagon and buried my head in the sand.

But now I've given myself a slap, been to see the diabetic nurse today to face the damage and have been put on the dreaded metformin...eek! I'm determined though to lose weight, get good blood sugar control and hopefully start trying for a family...so I'm sure I'll be popping up an a lot of the different forum boards!

Anyhow, that's my story in nutshell. I look forward to getting to chat to you all 🙂

Welcome to the forum, Mondler. The Weight Loss and Exercise Activity sections may be especially useful.

Hi Mondler and welcome, Your story seems very similar to mine as in going off the rails but luckily I'm back on track now as I'm sure you will be. 🙂

Welcome back Mondler.
