My mother is somewhat in the same boat as your daughter. She suffers from Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Unfortunately, she is allergic to Creon and Agna, causing her to break into severe hives when she ingests either. We are not sure whether the allergy is to the capsule or the micro-mini globules inside the capsules. Creon website says that you can break open the capsule and ingest it with acidic food. We are thinking of inserting one globule into a grape and digesting it with orange juice. This will test for allergy and hopefully, the grape will act as an enteric coating.

Do you have a better suggestion?

This thread is years old and the thread started has not posted for a few years either, it might be better if you start a new thread, we do have a number of regular posters on Creon.

Clever idea, I think. It seems cranberry juice is a bit more acidic than orange juice (or grape juice), and would also be more seasonal.

Creonista here, but with no problems with the Creon. I know some people mix the granules with apple sauce.

You can't be alllergic to the active ingredients, because they are a natural part of the body, so it must be the capsule itself. I'd try kshkel's advice and mix the granules with apple sauce. If i were allergic to Creon, Andrex shares would rocket into the FTSE 100.
