Thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes. I'm doing well and if I'm good they plan to let me out of here tomorrow. I may not be around much for a bit as the antibiotics are wiping me out and I spend most of my time sleeping. I'll try and pop in when I can.

Glad you're recovering. How did they manage your bgs in Hospital ? Did they put you on an insulin infusion ?

I've only just logged on and read this, I hope you are feeling sooo much better than you did on admission and hope your back home today and gain a speedy recovery!!

I got home at lunchtime and am safely tucked up in bed. I'm so hungry, but only allowed small amounts and soft foods. OH is staying out of reach in case I get really ravenous and start chewing on him. Still very tired but not as bad as yesterday, my red cell count is back to acceptable levels, unlike my bgs which are sky high. "They" decided to leave starting the insulin till next Tuesday as originally planned. I do know they plan to start me out on 10 units of whatever it is at bed time. Is that a lot?

Glad you are home and feeling a little better, ......I don't understand why 'they' are happy to leave your insulin until next Tuesday if your Bs's are constantly high....makes no sense to me??
