Well I survived the long haul flights 23 hrs worth on high carb meals and snacks, accidently being given a full sugared Sprite when I asked for diet...and ate a whole bar of Lindt Milk chocolate I took in case of a hypo! Well Australia would make me throw it out so I ate it!. My blood sugars were perfectly normal! MyGP told me not to take my glicozide and just go with the metformin so I thought they would be sky high but not at all.
Now I have arrived, and back to normal low carb diet, I am struggling to keep them up. Cant get them past 4.8! I am beginning to think I was right, and have been misdiagnosed .

Although your HbA1C must have been quite high to be put on both metformin and gliclazide. Enjoy your holiday, could be a temperature change that has affected your blood glucose level so may only be temporary until you acclimatise.
