Hi @Zeegoman, I have used many combinations of hardware, operating systems and browser to access the forum and never found this site to be any different to any other in terms of speed and stability although I don't think I have used the Chrome browser. Indeed, once I have got something working - some combos will not work - I have never had any problems at all.

I suspect your problems are more to do with your hardware and internet connections than this site in particular.

Sorry to hear you are getting some unusual and frustrating delays when posting on the forum. :( When you say ‘flipped out’ do you mean that you are being made to log-in again?

How many tabs does your Chrome browser have open?

I can’t see anything flagged on your account that would suggest things shouldn’t be working normally.

Occasional delays I have from time to time have generally been WiFi / Network glitches.

Might it be worth powering down your phone so that it’s completely off (not just in standby) and starting it back up again. Just in case there may be background processes hogging resources? It might also help to restart your WiFi router (though you’d be getting slow / intermitent connections to other websites too if it’s your router I’d have thought.

Oh and I hope you don’t mind, but I tweaked your thread title, so that folks didn’t come to post thinking it was about CGM sensors 🙂

Possibly but I can't see the cause. The issues are peculiar to this site.

Yes I've had to login again sometimes. If others aren't experiencing the problem then it's probably my side but it's nothing routinely fixable.

Morning all, I have just had an email with an an egift card link. It has come from a survey on here ages ago. Anyone else got it and have you followed through the link?????? Always wary of things like that but it does look genuine.

I' had this one, but I don't think I even did the survey
I have NOT opened the link as I'm waiting for @everydayupsanddowns @Anna DUK or @Ieva DUK to confirm it's genuine

Online questionnaire on type 2 diabetes - eGift Card

Hello,

I am very sorry for the delay in getting this eGift card to you.

We had a misunderstanding when organising the online survey and I thought the vouchers were being sent out automatically.

So, I do apologise it took so long, but thank you very much for completing the questionnaire. We have got some every interesting data and great feedback which we are going to collate, and then use to improve NHS services if we can.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Best wishes,

Nicola

Further to my last post, I have checked back and I did do the survey, so may be genuine

I also received mine and followed the link through.

I received mine this morning, but like you guys was wary of opening a link.

I got mine and followed the link, maybe I’m being dippy but I cannot see the 14 digit code needed anywhere?

I remember doing the survey but I can't see a code anywhere either.

The survey was back in April and was approved my Mike, according to the original post.

@Sharron1, did you complete the process? I got the code ( it is in the panel on the right of the screen) that comes up if you follow the link in the email. Pressed the button to copy the link and the went to the next site. Pasted the code and got a list of gift cards.

Picked my gift card, clicked on it and you get a page which asks you to set the value of the gift card rather than offering a gift card for £12.50. You cannot set the value to £12.50 - it will only accept whole numbers.

I did not go further.

I have e-mailed the researcher and asked if they have followed the process to see if it does what they expected.

Clicked on the link in the email.
This screen came up; it displays the 14 char reward code as DocB said:

Find the Copy Reward Code button and click on it.

Nicola Guess who sent the email is programme manager for the NewDawn project sponsored by Diabetes UK.

PS It worked for me. Got a £12.50 Sainsbury voucher; printed it to PDF

I spent mine no problem, although the platform at Love2Shop in my experience doesn’t always agree with all internet browsers

when choosing which voucher you want Love2Shop to either email or post you out, when you are redeeming
I find it easier (rather than selecting on the slider the desired amount) to input it in the box that usually appears above the slider, if you are still having issues regarding redeeming your code, think best to call / contact Love2Shop customer support, their contact details I’ve shown below

Did not work for me. Entering £12.50 comes back with a "less than minimum amount" error. Are you suggesting it browser dependent? Same happens on Firefox and Chromium.

I have just completed the process and am now the proud owner of a Costa Coffee e card. I copied the 14 digit number and entered it in the claim reward box, hey presto all the e card brands appeared. Made my choice, a bit of a faff entering amount to the basket bit, as you say only accepts £12. 00, so I put that in. However, job done. I felt the loss of 50p will mean fewer carbs at Costa...now am off to sit with a book, coffee and who knows what else?!!
