Hi everyone...

I'm a newbie here after searching on line for the answer to my question.

I'm 35 and was diagnosed about 3 years ago as a type 2, just before Xmas my Dieabeties was out if control, I was referred to a nurse, she has since put me on insulin (I'm much better now) but she also ordered a GAD test, as she seems to think I'm type 1.

When I called to get my results to (at the docs) I was told that the test was abnormal and the doctors remarks were " as expected" does anyone know what this means?

My nurse is not back to work in until Monday ....and this will drive me crazy trying to find the answer.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

This IS a guess on my part, but if the GAD test was 'normal' then you would not be type 1. But, an abnormal result suggests that you are type 1, which the GP seems to think is the expected result.

But, let's see what the knowledgeable people think!

Andy 🙂

Welcome to the forum Nathalie. Sorry, I can't guess what the person who answered the phone meant. Probably best to wait until you can get a proper answer from your GP or practice nurse.

Welcome
Why do these things always happen at weekends, when you cant get an answer?🙄 It's a wonder any of us have any fingernails left with all the waiting we do:D
