Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have type 2 diabetes, some mornings when I awake my feet and lower legs feel like I've got in a bath that's too hot, anyone else have this please?

Welcome @RT2031 How long have you had diabetes and what’s your blood sugar control like? The feeling of heat in your legs and feet could be connected to diabetes affecting your nerves so it’s something that would be best checked out by your nurse or GP.

If it is connected to your diabetes then keeping your blood sugar in range might help.

There are other possible causes too, which is why it’s worth having a chat to a medical professional.

Sorry to hear about the changes sensations in your legs @RT2031 :(

As @Inka says, changes in feelings in the legs can be caused by changes in the nerves over time with diabetes, so it would be worth trying to get a phone appointment with your GP, and getting your pulses and sensitivity checked out (this should have been part of your annual checks).

How long have you been living with diabetes? Are you on medication or do you manage your diabetes with diet and exercise.
