Hope the further investigations provide some helpful ways forward @Merlin27 - and provide useful actionable suggestions of a better regimen going forward.

It does rather sound like your case may have exceeded the expertise in your surgery, and you may benefit from some more specialist support?
 
Thank you everybody for your help and advice. I spoke to my Dr today about the tests and he spoke to the hospital. The outcome is that the hospital are going to take over my care. Finally feel as though I’m being listened to.
