I found this cheese advent calendar in Sainsbury’s today for £8 absolute bargain as it’s £16 plus delivery on Amazon. Thought it might be worth a share

Combine it with one of the Vodka ones available and you will be set.

Really? Cheese and vodka? My preference would definitely be port to go with the cheese.

Lidl had a cheese one in the other day too and it was around the £8 mark if I remember rightly. The selection of cheeses just didn't really appeal to me.... too many run of the mill cheddars etc for me. I would want something with a more exotic variety ie a mix of continental and English cheeses and some blue and holey cheese and maybe goat's and ewes milk as well. I buy really nice cheddar and red Leicester every week and eat some every day anyway, so for me it would have to be something exceptional or interesting otherwise it's just a gimmick way of selling small bits of ordinary cheese and with more packaging.... Am I a Bah Humbug for feeling like that?.... Probably.... but nothing worse that opening those little doors and being disappointed with the contents because I have nicer cheese in the fridge and being £s out of pocket.

I am not a big fan of the Ilchester cheeses, other half got a pack of variety individual ones a few weeks ago, and they were disappointing.

Cor, do Sainsbury's take Luv2Shop vouchers? Think they're too posh... :D

I think it’s a nice idea, something different to chocolate and with kids in the house it’s nice for us all to open something together in the mornings.

Some of these threads are starting to feel a bit pointless in posting. Hope this helps someone anyway.

Just because some of us do not agree, does not mean others may find it helpful.
