does anyone know if adrenalin has an adverse effect on your levels?

A little reading suggests that it would raise them, but on flip flop at flamingoland today - i felt unusually ill, and it was accompanied by a case of shivering and sweating - it took several minutes, and a small chocolate cornflake cake to recover.

do you think it may have been a hypo? I'll bring my meter on my next theme parks trip!

In my experience adrenaline is released when you go hypo to try and raise your levels. this is what causes the hands to shake and you to sweat and why your heart races. But I suppose if you have an adrenaline rush when your levels are not low, from exercise, excitement, whatever, then this could give you similar symptoms which would make you think you could be going hypo. I've had this feeling, then tested and my levels were fine. So it could have been this. But without testing your levels at the time there's no way to be sure.

Have to agree with redrevis. Unless you've tested, it could be similar feelings, but a choc cornflake cake would make me feel better too (under any circumstance) ! :D

Just to say that I also agree with the above comments about feeling low when BG is normal but if you can't test best to eat something in case it is a hypo.
