Hello all
William is struggling with acne right now, and is pretty fed up about it. We will probably have to wait until the holidays to see our GP as W is away at school in the week, so I wondered if you have any experience of T1/acne? I imagine sugar spikes don't help, although his levels are pretty good. Unfortunately my husband's family has quite a history of acne, and some of W's cousins have had fairly drastic drug treatment which did the trick. Poor William seems to have drawn a short straw on the genetic front, lymphoedema, T1 and now acne!! If you have any short term tips before we see our GP I'll pass them on to him as he'd like to have something to try out. I have suggested keeping sugars as steady as possible. He showers every day and uses a tea tree face wash ... that's it so far. The current outbreak has only been really bad for about 3 weeks. William is nearly 6ft tall, has grown incredibly fast over the last year so hormones are probably in overdrive.
Thanks
Catherine
