hello People
My blood sugars are usually around 10, I take tablets and insulin . This morning at 7am the reading was 32 , now it says HI ??? Any suggestions please ,been type 2 for 15 years

Hi Kerry, welcome to the forum 🙂 If your meter says 'HI' then it means your blood sugar levels are too high to measure on the meter 😱 This is usually when levels are above 33 mmol/l, so something must be going wrong with your treatment. What insulin do you use, and how long have you been using it? It's possible there could be something wrong with the insulin - it may have got too warm or too cold, for example. If you are using pens you might like to try changing the cartridge.

In any event, I would recommend getting in touch with your surgery as a matter of urgency as this level could be dangerous and needs professional input to resolve.
