According to most members on here I'm weird....

I like the green ones too!
I don't like the black ones...!

No Pat - it's you and me that are normal. Everyone who doesn't like them is definitely weird though !

Lauren has seen the light - so she'll be normal too with a bit more work on her part I'm sure!

Black, then red, then orange, then hello little yellows......green are vile, vile like bile 😛

Yes Pat, you are weird. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any profit in finding a cure - people are just told that they have faulty taste buds and are therefore unable to detect how dreadful they are! 😱 😉

Errrr! Excuse me Northie - It just might be possible that the haters have the faulty taste buds you know - a bit like them who don't like sprouts! I lurrrv sprouts:D

Well, there you go - it's probably the same sprout compound in green jelly babies! 😱 I suspect it's an evolution thing - we are able to protect ourselves against them by detecting them even when fumbling for a hypo treatment in the dark - and spitting them out before they can choke us! 😉

I am beginning to think its a type 1 thing although reading back it does seem to be an even split between 1's and 2's - think there might be something in the sprout thing though!

I normally stick with fruit pastilles ( of which I also hate the green) but my son's home for the weekend and bought a bag of jelly babies. So in the noble and self sacrificing spirit of research, I tested a green one, just to make sure they were still vile. AND THEY ARE! I think they have battery acid sticking them together.

I love green jelly babies too, they are the best.
I also love sprouts.

I've not eaten jelly babies for years as not my type of sweetie (no chocolate involved!). Fortunately I don't need them either. But I do love green fruit polos and green starburst so I have a feeling I may be a weirdo .....😱

We need a bit of research here to compound the 'sprout' theory! Do 'green lovers' also like sprouts and by the same token to 'green haters' dislike sprouts. I will set it off.

green jellybabies = love
Sprouts = love

The sprout theory might hold water, there's a compound in sprouts that is only detectable to some. But I love sprouts and I'm not a greenie lover. That said they don't taste bad to me exactly just not as nice as the black or red....

But do you hate them Kooky? You cannot screw up the data this early with an inconclusive!

Oh and I love sprouts! Especially the baby ones 🙂

Sprouts have always been my favourite. When I was a kid we went to a pontins holiday camp and I dressed up as a sprout for the kids fancy dress competition. I came 3rd.
My sweet of choice will always be green ones, no matter what they are, fruit polo, jelly babies, gummy bears, star burst.
One thing I do hate and have never liked is mint chocolate.

Love mint chocolate.
Love sprouts.
Hate green sweets. (are they meant to be lime flavour? I hated Roses lime juice cordial when I was a child, expect I still would. Can eat fresh limes, though not my favourite fruit)
Where does that leave our research?

Remember Fry's Five Centre? I used to like all the flavours, including lime 🙂

Don't mind sprouts as long as they are not overcooked. Dislike the green jelly babies, fruit pastilles, Starburst (Opal Fruits, please!) and fruit polos! Also, favourite Quality Street is the green triangle - does that count? :D
