Does anyone know anything about Acai berries / supplements? I've seen something on the internet which suggests they are very good supplements to aid weight loss, but with my skeptical hat on I'm wondering if they are really so good why aren't they better known? But maybe I've just missed something?!

Anyone used them before?

My sister uses them and she told me it helps to suppress your appetite. She swears by them.

I have never heard of them, but they sound like something you might find ina health food shop.

Acai berrys Goji Berys etc

Hi

There was a good 2 page article in one of the serious press (Times - ~Telegraph ? Independent - Guardian) about 6 to 9 months ago o more, on the uses and benefits of various super foods and berries, but definitely covered Acai and Guji berries, The scientific conclusion was that there were no obvious physiological improvements to any of the sampled subjects, that it is was very good way to spend money you could better afford to use on something else, however the placebo effect was fantastic amongst those who had convinced themselves that the health benefits were wonderful.
Due to the perceived health benefits of acai berries and guji berries in particular,
The company I was working for was trying to work out ways to include a variety of the fashionable popular items in fruit juices as a solely means to improve sales,

I'm a big fan of the placebo effect. If you think it's doing you good, then it probably is. The mind is a wonderful thing. 🙂
