but I also got pings on my phone from what’s app messages
I'm intrigued as to why this happened as unless you switched the internet/wifi on your phone on whats app messages shouldn't have come through and you don't need the internet on to scan the sensor? xx

Good to hear that you now have the Libre @PhoebeC
It is so much easier to monitor levels, through layers of clothes if necessary.
Because it is easier, I find I check more often and consequently head off hypos and hypers.
The direction of travel arrow along with the value really helps.

The only hassle I find is at night when I started to use the phone app. For the Libre it was fine and great to do a swipe when I got up in the night, but I also got pings on my phone from what’s app messages. Just need to turn off the sound. As I don’t use my phone much I find the reader easier, and fits in my bra more easily during activity.

Let us know how you get on.
I’ve not had a hypo since I’ve had it on, I don’t know really if I would have but I definitely would have on our huge walk on Sunday as I wouldn’t have tested, I had a few sweets this time and my levels balanced out. Still weird hypers but now I think I can work out why, we will see

It sounds like you are already seeing the benefits.
A long walk is a good excuse for a few Wurthers.

Like you I find those hypers are easier to analyse as you have the pattern of behaviour of your BG which you can match to food or activity. One bit I need to sort is after a long walk, I forget to reduce Basal insulin overnight. I then hypo big time during the night.

The Libre is such a good educator. After I had it for a while I looked at the videos that are mentioned above.
They are very informative and practical, with advice on how to fine tune things.
(Spot @everydayupsanddowns there)

Take care
