A return to Keynesian economics?

What you want is a general election you mean. I’m a member of public and I can do without it thanks

It does point out the faults in the system.
Possibly we need a way for the public to call for a general election.
Maybe an online petition that triggers a vote once it goes past half the numbers that voted last time?
So only a serious number to trigger it.
About 25 million turned out last time.

It does feel a bit like the kid whose ball it is getting to decide how long the game goes on before they go in for tea.

To be honest FPTP seems a more pressing issue to improve to me. The fact that a minority of voters decide the representative in so many seats, rendering the votes of so many others in that constituency almost valueless.

How do you change a system were the rules are set by the winners?
Then reversed by different winners next time around?
I've lived in counties that were fluid depending on if labour or conservative won, and the boundaries moved to create more constituencies for the winners, and less for the losers before the next elections.

It would take an extreme change of politics to take up proportional representation and give up that advantage
