I tried this meter a few months ago (and reviewed it elsewhere).
It sounds great but for me it didn't live up to it's promise. There's no ability to enter insulin or food amounts amounts so the patterns it sees are limited to "you are been low before breakfast for the last three days". I don't think this offers anything better than a log book. I may be being harsh as I have used other OneTouch meters lots over the years but this didn't give me much more than I could get from my Nano in a much bigger package. However, the pricker is one of the painfree-est (not a word but it should be!) I've ever used and that's stayed with my current meter.
The Expert, however, I loved before moving across to the dark side - pumping. Yes, it was short in a few areas but the ability to enter carbs and dosage to show active insulin was very useful for me on MDI. Bits of the tech of pumping without the pump. I had to fight with the clinic to let me have one though as I know they're expensive to buy so Roche / Accu-chek aren't too keen to let them out easily.
