Not a good night last night - woke from my slumber on the sofa at 1am to find son's pump alarming "low suspend" and BG 2.7 (we've invested in a box of 5 sensors so benefitting from all the Veo's features for once!). He had some lucozade and flopped about on the landing for a while, eventually rising to 6.5, restarted basal, turned down to 80% for 2 hours, set my alarm for 6. Pump alarmed again just before the clock alarm, this time 3.3, basal suspended again. The sensor graph shows an almost flat line in the 3's for most of the night apart from a little blip up into the 6's at 1.30am (don't know how to post attachments on here).
What caused this? Three hours of tennis! He hasn't been totally idle, but there's been a lot of screen/console time lately, so a bit of exercise took his system by surprise. He had reduced his lunch bolus beforehand and afternoon basal, but not tea and evening (never played tennis before so we didn't expect such an after-effect!). Needless to say, large insulin reductions have been made today (the tennis runs Mon-Thurs).
The Veo with CGM is fab though 🙂
