I’ve never met anyone in the wild yet - but maybe one day!

My dentist did start a conversation with me about pumps the other day as turns out his son is type 1 and have just got a sensor to go with it. Never met his son tho!

Sat next to a fellow T1 at breakfast on the ferry to Santander. We just chatted briefly - to the relief of her hubby, I think - about our situations and diagnosis which were very similar. Tbh, she was as thin as a rake and looked pretty fed up and I (briefly) felt very sad.

Roll on meeting more diabetic people in April!:D

Not a Steel Eye Span fan - but Maddy Prior was brilliant on Mike Oldfields classi "Incantations" album.

My second week of being this thing I was offered pastries and/or cakes by a lovely server in Starbucks at Leicester Forest services.. I said I had better not, she said diabetes?? Turned out she was type 1 since she was 15, I really wanted my coffee but the ten minutes speaking to her made a bigger difference to my day.. more recently working at a customer's site, one of their employees just rolled up his sleeve and fired in his dose for his imminent breakfast. I had my meter close to hand and kind of waved it at him, we had a bit of a chat along the lines of live your own life and don't let it bother you. He was a big almost scary looking bloke (and I am six foot ..) but a decent bloke for a sugar dodger..!

trophywench.. Nuneaton? Look across the A5 to Hinckley, that's where I am!
My legs will probably be similar to Matt's, only I suspect heavier.. no minis for me obviously but when I get enough confidence back to go out on the bike you might see a type 1 pedalling around the area..

In a grocery store around the time Steel eye span was popular background music was playing ,the grocer asked a shopper if she liked Steel eye span "How much a quarter is it " came back .My husband and I hid round a corner and tried to avoid exploding !!
