Hi
I've been handling my control quite well since diagnosis at the start of november. I've had a few days where it's just paled into insignificance though.
I went with my wife for our booking scan for our pregnancy. We found out at the scan there was no heartbeat and we had lost our baby. Needless to say this has been heartbreaking and have had a frantic few days and nights in and out of hospital. We had a miscarriage in January, as well, and only just starting to get over that.
We're getting on okay, and our son who's 18 months is keeping us busy as we head into Christmas
Suddenly I've not had time to focus on diet, sugar, BP etc - it's just felt irrelevant. I'm hoping I've not done too much damage to all the good work I've done over the past few weeks.
I think now I have to pick myself up and try and feel like I'm in control again, I have been starting to check my BG and even just now it's sitting at between 7 & 8 which is quite high for me.
Hopefully I can motivate myself again
