HI just an update so 3 months since diagnose T2, sugars normal and nearly 5 stone lost all down to reducing carbs and sugars, enjoying diet which is now a life style change. Fasting now for my blood test tomorrow fingers cross, results back next Tuesday. I read the pages on this forum inside out and I am as confused as when I first got diagnose about what's good and what's bad for you. I believe do what you feel works for you, I love gruitefruit yet says it can be fatal? So no more gratefruits for me. The lentil pasta and the Rawpasta Spaghetti 200g Konjac Shirataki, Low Carb, Glutenfree was a great find. Off for a bike ride in the dark, lights on, good luck we can beat this.

Hi al, thanks for the encouragement as it been really helpful. So results back and no more tablets, sugars normal under 5. First day on no tablets all good so far. Still keeping the carbs at bay and eating healthy. All the very best. And thanks again.

Fear is a great motivator.
So true, in my early days before I achieved good control I was terrified of complications, hence a very aggressive approach to management of my D.

Well done Keny. Do you eat any carbs at all? I don't have as many as I used to but have some, just try to stick to low glycaemic index and avoid breakfast cereal apart from porridge, pasta, rice, potatoes and eat burgen soya and linseed in bread in moderation which I can get away with.
