12 hours in the life of a sensor

I've always changed it, and kept it in case they want it sending back - I'm fortunate enough to have a little stockpile of them as they will send a new one even if 12 days in for example, so with the 2 I get per month on prescription, I've got a few spares! I've had to reinstall the app a couple of times as it was losing connection to healthcare team ("Connected Devices" it was all of a sudden greyed out), and another time was not pulling through any of the data from my Insulin Smart Pens and it is annoying that you lose the data on the phone, but you can still get all of it from Librevie

Thank you will know for the future ones. Had bit off anxiety Saturday night wondering if it would work if went low through the night. Tried high glucose on lower and went off, so take it it’s working

Co-incidentally it was on my left arm but as I try to alternate arms and haven't had this problem before I don't think I can blame that, but you never know. I get them free as well so it's only the irritation rather than the cost, I think I'd give up if I had to pay for them. This is my third failure since April when I started using them which may or may not be a lot but it seems so to me.
They are not actually free, the NHS has to pay and we all pay for the NHS through our taxes so we shouldn't be paying for faulty sensors so reporting and getting a replacement should be what people should do.

Thanks,

I don't use the hidden apps facility, I didn't even know it existed. Oddly I got a welcome email from Abbott just the other day. I've been using then since April so I was a bit surprised. I don't think I've fully qualified yet.

I know they aren't free. One thing that has struck me is how easily they will replace them. I think this is because the cost of replacing them is already built into the cost of each sensor which of course makes them more expensive from the start. It would be better if fewer of them failed in the first place, I know that some of it is user error but not all of it.

Have you updated to the 18, I’ve not done it yet. Ave never herd off off it either, I started using in April as well not sure if I got welcome email

Yes I updated it when it was announced. I would stick with what you have unless there's something you want included in the update. I only update mine for the extra security as I rarely use the phone. The notifications from Abbott seem a bit hit and miss.
