    Wow Mounjaro is available!

I started my second month of NHS-prescribed Mounjaro last Sunday. (It has been available since at least 21st February.) Previously I was on Victoza until it became unavailable late last year, then on Rybelsus for a month.

Making sure you’re drinking plenty water / sugar free squash, and having lots of low calorie veg with meals, and basing meals on protein are worth focusing on as well (and can combine with a low carb diet) to help fill you up too

If there wasn’t such a shortage at the moment you could ask for Ozempic / Wegovy (or rybelsus the tablet form). That seems to be helping people with appetite control? Alternatively as @Leadinglights suggests, many on the forum have found they feel fuller and less likely to want to eat more on a...

    Rybelsus medication

I have been on Trulicity for 18 months until it became unavailable, I have to be honest its effect on my weight was negligable, like Rybelsus, Trulicity was known to cause the side effects mentioned as well as pancreatitis, and tumours on the thyroid. What bothers me is that due to long term...

    Rybelsus medication

...- have been since I was diagnosed 8 years ago - 4x 500mg a day. I have been fine on that - no side effects. I have decided to try the Rybelsus and will be starting at the beginning of April when I get back from holiday - don’t want to risk symptoms while I’m away! Hopefully it will be...

    GLP-1 inhibitors in general.

A Rybelsus tablet daily is recommended now that (almost) all the other GLP-1 inhibitors are unavailable for the foreseeable future. It starts at the 3mg dose, then after a month of acclimatisation you can move up to the 7mg dose then, perhaps, to the highest 14mg dose. Insulin is usually very...

This med Rybelsus is awesome. It has helped me bring my A1C down to 5.1 from a high of 9.7. I first started with the 3mg and am now on the 14mg. Been on this med since March and while I did experience some nausea and mild upset stomach it went away after about a week. It has also helped me lose...

Hi all, has anyone had luck getting libre sensors from the doctor? Im type 2 on tablets but i am so much better when i have been trialling sensors.

Are you making sure you have washed your hands and your test strips are in date. What monitor is it. It would be cheaper to purchase a new monitor, inexpensive ones are available on line a couple which take the cheaper strips are the GlucoNavii or TEE2.00

Hi all, has anyone had luck getting libre sensors from the doctor? Im type 2 on tablets but i am so much better when i have been trialling sensors.

...pass 25!! I put a libre in last Friday and am averaging 12. Back in September last year i did the libres for 6 weeks and my blood test hba1c level was 39. Fast forward to Feb and another blood test my hba1c was 88. I'm on 2000 metformin, 14g rybelsus and another tablet to bring my levels...

...that I’m aware of is to counteract the potential ‘looseness’ caused by metformin! I think the feeling of fullness has helped me to cut carb intake and generally reduce what I eat. Do you just take metformin at the moment, and has your dose of that changed? Hope you get on well with the rybelsus x

    Rybelsus medication

I’ve been taking rybelsus alongside metformin for about 18 months without any issues or side effects. It’s helped me to lose a significant amount of weight, which I’ve managed to keep off so far! I did have a few months on sitagliptin when it was unavailable, but I’ve been back on the rybelsus...

    Rybelsus medication

Welcome to the forum. I have no experience of the medication but I know many do manage to reduce their HbA1C from levels higher than yours by making dietary changes but the important thing is to make it a dietary approach that is enjoyable and that you can sustain. As you say you have done it...

    Rybelsus medication

Hi everyone - just wondering if any of you have any experience or thoughts on Rybelsus medication? It’s similar to ozempic. I have recently been prescribed it as my Hba1c was in the low 60s. I am a bit reluctant to take it as the side effects sound pretty awful - nausea, vomiting...

Confused about my Libre2 readings overnight

The guidelines issued by NICE indicate switching a drug to a GLP1 inhibitor (Rybelsus) if hba1c isn't coming down with triple therapy, but this is based on a number of criteria such as weight and ethnicity and whether or not insulin would be difficult for the patient. You are getting to the...

Confused about my Libre2 readings overnight

If you haven't made any changes to your diet that would likely explain why you have high glucose levels despite all those medications. Your diet is doing you no favours and even some small changes would help you turn things around before you strt to get some of those unpleasant consequences of...

...wants me to take insulin (last 4 HbA1cs were all around 80) but I dont want to. I want a GLP1 (which isn't available) so she has prescribed Rybelsus, but I'm not to take it until she has checked with my eye consultant. At the moment I'm still taking metformin, dapagliflozin and sitagliptin at...

    Ryebelus pros and cons

Err - perhaps because the US Rybelsus website is the most comprehensive source of information about Rybelsus? You just have to bear in mind that some units and practices differ as one crosses the pond... However, the tablets themselves remain immutable.

    Rybelsus query

Morning. I have been on Rybelsus for 3 weeks now. I have not had any symptoms to note really. I also changed to Gliclazide at the same time, had horrendous tummy pains after a few days butbit subsided quite quickly. I guess everyone is different. I would not take medication then go to bed...
