Hi all. I need some help. I have to send my sensor back to Abbott. They've sent me a replacement and all the things to return it. Where is the battery? How do i get the battery out? Do i need to take off the filament which is inserted? Help!
Ok. Thank you. I asked because the sheet they sent with it says to remove the battery, put in bio bag x2,put in envelope and post.
Doesn’t it say remove any “removable” batteries?
it doesn’t have any you can remove, so you can’t.
I only sent one back a few weeks ago, just took it off, put it into both bags and sent it off
Just noticed a bruise where its been and there was a fair bit of dried blood as well. Never had that before
That would probably explain why it didn't work from the off. I did exactly the same as usual, following all the instructions so maybe something wrong with the applicatorThat would be consistent with something going wrong during the application of that sensor.
When i rang Abbot i was getting LO consistently. They asked me questions and got me to test using the sensor and strips but said to return it and they would replace. Yesterday afternoon it suddenly started being more accurate but i'm wary as yesterday morning it showed i was able to drive but test strip showed 3.7. Have put replacement on now, more accurateSome say that the bleeders have been more accurate for them.
As previously mentioned, just bag it up and send it back. Removing the battery will destroy the unit and Abbot will not be able to test it or find out why it failed. It’s perfectly safe to post as isHi all. I need some help. I have to send my sensor back to Abbott. They've sent me a replacement and all the things to return it. Where is the battery? I wouldn’t worry as they send the sensors and readers out to us with the batteries installed. That’s what arrived with it.
