Anyone ever had issues with Cortisol levels?

Well I have no idea how it happened but I got my bloods that the GP requested done on 4th June and still had no results back so I chased it up with the surgery this morning and they rang me back this afternoon and informed me the lab did not receive the samples they have went missing.

Got to go and have them done again tomorrow.

Going to give them a call today and see if anything is back. If not it’s more than likely going to be next week now.

I still don’t see how it happened and when I spoke to someone at the community hospital where the bloods were done they basically just laughed and said no idea.

Finally got the GP results back too and they have come back as normal.

I don’t actually know what to do next because they say they have looked at everything.

The only one thing they can think of is if I caused nerve damage within my face when I used to be badly controlled. They haven’t said if there is any treatment though.

The consultant didn’t give me all the numbers from the results for some reason and I would like to know these, I have contacted the secretary and they seem to be been difficult.

Think I may have to put in a subject access request for them. Surely this is something I am entitled to know?

As for next steps I just have no idea.

Ah sorry to hear that the results haven’t given you a concrete way forward @MarkGeordie - though I suppose at least they didn’t indicate anything horrendous brewing

I still have them on and off so I get good and bad days but they can be annoying and extreme but I seriously don’t know what else they can do.

Must be very frustrating for you not to have it resolved after all the chasing around

All I can do I think is monitor it, report any changes and raise the issue again in my next clinic appointment.
