Hello. I'm new to the forum but handling Type 2 for the last 5 years. Just had really positive results come back after taking up intermittent fasting and changing my habits over the last year (lockdown has meant i can focus on eating and exercise), regarding triglycerides(from 7 to 2.27) and cholesterol (5.8 to 3.5), blood pressure down from last year (163/92 to 135/85) and now looking to ramp it up and learn more. It's a bit much when you get told by the doctors so i'm still getting my head round HbA1c, the use of statins/metformin etc.
I've joined the forum as i've experienced a lot of people weighing in with advice, the "do you know what you should do" from 50 different people all giving opposing pieces of advice.
Was in the process of writing an Edinburgh show (stand up comedian) before Covid cancelled all comedy events, and would like to continue to write informative material as the current conversation in the media suggests people diagnosed with diabetes deserve it due to the lifestyle they live, not going deeper.
Would be interested on any articles, books, case studies anybody would like to share.
