Hi Mikey
I have a friend who swims regularly and has oxygen therapy. She is also careful about her diet, and has managed to function normally for many years. I know these treatments probably won't be available to you at this time, but both conventional and alternative therapies seem to have benefitted her. Go well and stay well the both of you.
Not to sure as things have moved along in the last 14 years since he died, sadly its time to look around again to see what is out there.

Hi everyone,i have just left hospital after my visit tuesday i was told i was being taken in for emergency testing after a full spinal mri and a mri on my head and ct scan on my chest, countless blood tests a lumbar punture and nerve reflex tests all over i have now been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis to ad to my t2,thanks for all for replying to my post.
All I can say is wow at your quick diagnoses. Neurology normally drag their feet in giving diagnoses.
Good thing is you now know what you have and hopefully a lovely MS nurse will give you a ring and give you as much reassurance s/he can. MS wont kill o shorten your life, it's just a very frustrating condition which can and does cause some limitations.
Stay safe.
Edited to add this link for you https://www.mssociety.org.uk/?_ga=2.150690870.1659399001.1587648507-1437851656.1564653788 lots of useful info for you.

Hello again Mike,
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. Please please though do not think your MS will take the same route as your Dad's as everyone is different.
Have you been told which type of MS you have? The best advice I have been given is use it or loose it. Which means no matter what the weather I go for two walks a day to make sure I keep my muscles working. Today being an exception as my dog isn't feeling very well so doesn't want to go out :(
If you suffer from fatigue there's a very good word in the dictionary it's No. So when asked to do things for other people the answer is no if you are fatigued as it can knock you back for days if you push to hard. Always do what you can taking your time and resting as you need to. If jobs/tasks don't get done there's always tomorrow.
There have been many improvements in treatment as the years have gone on so don't despair.
